I found the idea for this cake on a blog called Shower of Roses, which was a brilliant way of doing the cake. Besides, it looks impressive after all that sugar has been liberally iced all over the cake. Granted, we had to get a little creative with the decorations and the Hobbit Lego characters had to be rescued from a balcony (long story), but the end result was much appreciated.
