Oh psh. You do so. I bought it last year for guitar club, hoping that I would learn something, didn't because I gave up, and then on Sunday I felt like playing it again. I've been attempting to teach myself, but either it is the guitar that is defective or me.
I'd say it's a combination of the guitar and the self-taught method... I tried that for a while, then didn't touch my guitar for about a year. Then I decided to get lessons. That made all the difference for me, but some people do just fine on their own. I think Jimi Hendrix was self-taught. But I also think he's overrated.
